Luckily, no. My parents have always been happy that I'm a reader and many of my friends like to read too. They're used to it and pretty much expect it of me. My boyfriend is also supportive and he doesn't complain when I take a while looking around in the book store. And he listens when I tell him about what I'm reading and about my blog. He's not a YA fan, but he likes reading and looking at books too.
What are your bookish thoughts?
What a great question! No-one's complained too much about mine, like you my parents were very supportive of me reading. My form tutor at high school even let me read during registration, and I used to read sometimes at lunch if I was reading an especially gripping book which none of my friends complained about (some of my friends like my reading addiction because they get a steady flow of new books to read themselves.)
ReplyDeleteHowever I was a bit of an antisocial child, so I used to read when we went to visit family or when they came to visit us, so my parents did have to ask me to leave my book in the car or upstairs quite a lot!
