First of all, I am a blogger. I do this for fun and because I love reading. The term “review” is used loosely here because my “reviews” are features of the book and what I think of it. That said…
I do accept books for review. But only actual books, no e-books or PDF files. I do not own an e-reader, I don’t plan on getting one, and I don’t enjoy reading books on the computer screen.
I like a variety of different books, but my favorites are young adult and/or paranormal/urban fantasy. I enjoy contemporary fiction if it has a bit of an edge to it. Other genres I like are horror, mystery, science fiction, and fantasy. If you’re not sure if I’d be interested in a certain book, feel free to shoot me an email and ask! I am not accepting anything that is self-published.
If you would like the review for your book to be posted around a certain date, be sure to let me know and I’ll do the best I can. If you do not specify, I’ll try to have it up around the release date, about a week before. Your book will first be featured on my blog in my weekly In My Mailbox / Book Haul post that I do each weekend. The review will be posted here on this blog and on my GoodReads account.
All of my reviews are honest, whether it’s on a book I bought myself, borrowed from the library, or recieved. I would never be malicious and bash a book, even if I didn’t particularly like it. I understand that just because it wasn’t my favorite doesn’t mean it’s a bad book. If I love a book, I will rave about what I found to be so great about it. If I didn’t like it, I will mention my problems with it. I will be fair and make it clear that my opinions are my own so that my readers can make up their own mind. I do not receive monetary compensation for my reviews. Getting to keep the books and/or swag is good enough for me. I will never resell a book I have received.
